Bio
Nazifa is currently a medical student at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Physics from Simmons University. Before embarking on her medical studies, Nazifa conducted research at the VA National Biorepository Brain Bank, focusing on neurological conditions such as ALS, disorders affecting Gulf War Veterans from 1990-1991, and PTSD. She also conducted research on therapeutic treatments for neurological conditions, including ALS and Huntington’s disease at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). During her time at MGH, she developed a strong passion for teaching and peer mentorship. Nazifa is deeply committed to supporting students through their academic journeys by sharing her experiences and insights. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her family.
