Bio

Nasim is currently a medical student at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating summa cum laude from San Diego State University (SDSU). Following her undergraduate studies, Nasim gained research experience in the biotechnology industry, where she worked as a molecular biology researcher focusing on antibody-drug conjugates for cancer therapy. This early exposure to translational science sparked her interest in the intersection of research and clinical practice. Driven by a desire to better understand population health and evidence-based medicine, Nasim went on to earn her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at SDSU. She conducted and published research in collaboration with faculty mentors, which further reinforced her interest in how data can inform equitable and effective healthcare solutions.

Nasim is an aspiring dermatologist with a passion for advancing the field of psychodermatology, focusing on pediatric patients whose skin conditions impact their mental and emotional well-being. She is committed to integrating clinical care with public health principles to advocate for underserved communities and marginalized populations. As a proud Iranian-American, her long-term goal is to lead interdisciplinary research and provide holistic, patient-centered dermatologic care that considers the cultural influences on skin conditions, ultimately enhancing her patients' overall quality of life.
