Lila Salehi

Bio

Lila is a senior undergraduate student at UC Davis, majoring in Human Biology with aspirations of attending dental school. She completed her high school education in Iran before transitioning directly to UC Davis, where she has taken on leadership and mentorship roles. Lila is the president of the Iranian Student Organization, working to build a strong community for Iranian students and promote cultural awareness on campus. She is also a tutor in Organic Chemistry and Genetics, helping students strengthen their understanding of complex scientific concepts. Beyond academics, she enjoys playing the violin, skiing, and taking long walks around the city. Having navigated the challenges of transitioning to the U.S. education system herself, Lila is passionate about mentoring first-generation and immigrant students who are on a similar path, hoping to make their journey smoother and more accessible.
