Erisa Taghizadeh

Bio

Erisa is a recent graduate from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and is currently working as a Junior Specialist in a genomics lab while preparing to apply to dental school. She also tutors biology at community college, helping students strengthen their confidence and understanding in science.

Erisa minored in Persian Studies at UCI and has a deep-rooted passion for classical Persian music. She plays the Santur and Tombak and has studied under the guidance of several renowned maestros. Beyond academics, she enjoys exploring nature and traveling.

Having grown through her past experiences, Erisa is passionate about mentoring other immigrant and first-generation students on their educational journeys.
